Does this make you sad?

Something that really humbled me in today's class and really made me think about how luckey i really am was seeing Tammy's story. It made me so sad to see her singing to herself and walking in the rain 10 1/2 miles to her job at Burger King that doesnt even pay enough, and her kids dont support her or barely like her and she is still relatively content with the way she lives.

Nice Post,

That made me incredibly sad. Not only does it make me realize how good I have it, but it also makes me feel a little guilty that I am able to live the lifestyle that I am currently living while some kids in the world (and our own country) are forced to live like that. This is why I disagree with O'Connor, because I think the word blessed is appropriate in describing our situation compared to others in the world. I have no more right to live the life that I live than a homeless kid my age. Overall, it makes me very sad.

Mark, watching Tammy's story did make me sad. However, it let me appreciate everything I have. It was like "You Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone" without having to lose anything. Yet, she almost always had a positive attitude and she also had big dreams to better her life. It was kinda like that chart we did with people's happiness vs wealth. I guess sometimes money really doesn't matter.
